My Boyfriend!

This week Eric has been great!!  Yesterday, he worked late and didn't get home until around 8 pm.  I decided to take a shower before going to bed, and just as I got into the shower, he came in to ask what we needed from the store.  Now, Eric hates going to the store.  If I know we need groceries, then I had better get them because he will moan and groan about going to the store.  So, for him to actively volunteer to go to the store is weird.  He claims that since he had a relaxing weekend, now he has some energy to do stuff like clean the kitchen (on Monday) and go to the grocery store (on Tuesday).  I appreciate his efforts, but have been picking on him a little.  I like this new Eric, and I don't want him to go away after only a week or two.

Today was exciting because I went to the Stephenie Meyer website (www.stepheniemeyer.com/) and there were FAQs about her latest book Breaking Dawn -- the fourth book in the Twilight saga.  She also posted a blog entry about someone illegally taking a copy of Midnight Sun, which is Twilight told from Edwards point of view, and posting it on the internet.  Now as much of a Twilight fan I am, that's just wrong.  I am eager to read the book, but taking it a distributing it on your own without the authors knowledge or permission is just not ethical.  That make me mad.

I didn't go to dance class last night, but rather stayed and did pilates in my apartment.  I have a DVD with pilates exercises on it.  There are five 10-minute workouts.  I did upper body, abs, then total body.  I'm a little sore today, but not bad.  I tried not to work myself too hard yesterday.

TRUE BLOOD

It's Monday!  The beginning of another great week!  This weekend was nice and relaxing.  Nothing too exciting happened.  Eric's sister, Lindsey, had surgery on Friday.  She's doing well, and she moving about.  Fred and Ginger came to Birmingham from Panama City.  Eric and I ate dinner with everyone on Saturday night, and Ginger made some phenomenal chicken and dumplings.  Fred cooked his famous cornbread, and there were peas served that were amazing.  I guess it was the typical southern meal... and if that's the case, then I'm glad I'm in the south!

Yesterday, I cooked home-made lasagna.  I was surprised when I ate it.  It was delicious!  Really good-- especially for my first time.  I have plenty of left overs (which is a good thing).  Eric enjoyed it too.  He ate a big piece.

So, HBO came out with a new series, TrueBlood.  It's about vampires.  I watched about half of the first episode last night.  It was interesting.  One main character is a waitress, and apparently she can read minds (when she wants to).  A vampire comes in and she ends up waiting on him (Bell).  The vampire apparently gets kidnapped by a couple at a table right behind him, and they take Bell to the parking lot and attempt to drain his blood (to sell b/c apparently vampire blood has a special affect on humans).  The waitress comes out and fights the couple, and they flee.  She saves the vampire and realizes that she can't read his mind.  That's interesting b/c it is similar to the Twilight series, only reversed.  In Twilight, Edward couldn't read Bella's mind-- and his power, he couldn't "turn-off".  The next thing I would like to know is, if in TrueBlood, will the waitress and vampire "fall in love'' like the main characters did in Twilight.  That would be interesting.  I guess I will have to watch the next episode...
